What to do with the placenta? Capsules? Delayed cutting?

So I've heard some people say it's amazing to encapsulate the placenta. I've also heard some horror stories about how it made them "crazy," while taking the placenta pills. But I also want to prolong cutting the cord to ensure my daughter is able to get the nutrients out of it. Tell me your stories ladies! Did you delay cutting the cord?

Delayed cord cutting has proven benefits. Placenta encapsulation does not. There is no research that proves that consuming your own placenta is beneficial.

The placenta is a big filter. They have found pesticides in them. There is no way I'll ingest that. But I will be delaying the cord clamping as long as everything goes accordingly.

Delayed cord cutting has just been proven to be just as beneficial to full term babies as it is to premmies. I plan to have delayed cord cutting.

I would have delayed cord cutting! It's so good for baby! My baby came out blue and not breathing, so there was no time to sit around and wait, otherwise I would have done it! Would never encapsulate my placenta, I did research about it and the studies showed it has no benefit. One study said we are the only mammals that have never had the biological need or desire to consume it, because we just don't need it.  Thought that was interesting!
