I came to my regular obgyn checkup at the beginning of January and it was a coincidence that I came 5 weeks pregnant. They sent me home and told me to come back for my first pregnancy exam when I am 10 weeks. They said the nurse practitioner will take my blood, do ultrasound, etc. at that point but I will not see the doctor yet.  I thought it was odd..Is this a normal procedure? Could you ladies share when you had your first pregnancy exam and when you finally saw the doctor. Thank you so much!!
