At what point of the pregnancy should you stop lifting heavy objects? Right away or when you're a bit further along?

As long as you're not high risk and you're not doing more than you normally do, you can continue to lift things. Your doctor may put a weight restriction when you're in your third trimester though if your job involves lots of lifting like being a nurse.

I did it up until I didn't feel comfortable doing it which was about 7.5 months. And depending on how much it weighs

I still carry my 35 lb toddler. I think it depends on what you're used to before pregnancy and making sure you aren't straining when lifting. You don't want to suddenly a 50 pound object. Listen to your body and don't over do it.
