My due date was 10/28/2016. That night around 9pm i lost my mucous plug but had no discomfort or contractions. I had been 1cm for 3 weeks. At 5:20 the next morning I started having contractions 5 to 10 minutes apart. They were uncomfortable but bearable. The continued until 830 i couldnt take it any longer. My contractions were 2-3 minutes apart and really bad. I woke my husband up and told him its time to go to the hospital. He took a shower, grabbed our bags and we were on our way. We got to the hospital at 9:40. My contractions were every 2 minutes apart and bad. I barely was able to walk into the hospital. We get to triage and sign in. At 10am they checked me and I was 3cm and 100% effaced. I was in excruciating pain by then. They decided to admit me and we got to our room at 10:15am. The pain was 10/10 and all in my back. I was leaning over the bed on the monitor and swaying back and forth when I felt the urge to push. I told the labor nurse that it felt like i needed to poop abd she said i needed to get into the bed so she could check me again. I got into bed and at 10:30 she said i was 9cm. She went and got some fluids and started my IV in between contractions. She then had her charge nurse check me to verify because it happened so fast. The charge nurse said i was complete and 10cm at 10:40 am. They called the doctor to come in and said it was ok because my water hadnt broken yet and i still had time. Right then my water burst all over the bed. At that moment the Dr. Got her gown on and it was time to push. They let me take off the monitor becuase i could feel all my contractions. I started pushing at 10:50am, pushed for 6 minutes and my baby boy was born at 10:56am! 7 pounds 9.8 ounces and perfect! Not how I planned but I'm super proud of myself for an all natural birth :) plus i got to breastfeed during recovery and then get up to go to the bathroom and clean up just two hours after delivery :) Thanks for reading!
