Is depression a side effect of implants birth control?

I really want the implant but I don't know if that's something I should consider. I have recurring depression and I'm worried that if I get the implant the depression could worsen. Obviously seeing a doctor is smart but I'd like some more opinions as well.

I think it depends, I've known people who had no problems but it didn't suit me, I just stood in the shower crying every morning with no idea why! Needless to say I only had it a month, it's fairly easy to have removed if you don't get on with it
