How do I know when I'm Ovulating?

Question

Wondering how I can figure out when I'm ovulating, I know you can buy tests for it but is there a way to calculate it without that? What to know when it's most likely I'll get pregnant. I'm on the pill with regular periods but I have been known to forget a pill on occasion. Help please?

It's usually 14 days from the first day of your period. But you can eat pregnant up to 7 days before because sperm can live about 5-7 days inside. So the day you start your period count 14 days. But every women is different.

Your vaginal discharge changes ... it gets like an egg white consistency around the time you will ovulate ... I personally get random dull cramps on the side the egg is releasing from (per my doc)... most women ovulate between day 12-16 of their cycle ... so when you start your cycle that's day one ... count to day 12-16 and make note of the changes you see in your body... if you chart it for at least 3 mths you'll be able to more accurately determine when you're ovulating... also watch for moods swings ... food cravings ...

Cervical fluids a good way. Then there's ovulation test strips. Use daily after period stops then one it's getting darker test at 10 am and 7pm to catch ur surge then you will have a better idea although can alter a little month to month good luck

Typically the pill prevents ovulation -which is usually 2 weeks before your period- if you are not taking the pill correctly theres really no way of knowing when you'll ovulate because all the hormones are gonna be wonky... id suggest setting an alarm (i have the app my pill it sends you a little alert and it has a pack and you "pop" a pill each day so you can see youve taken the pill or not) maybe try a time that works better for you. I used to take it when id remember and it made me so sick it also cant protect you from pregnancy if you cant make it work id find a different method

If youre on the pill you dont ovulate thats how it helps prevent pregnancy if you are taking them at different times and forgetting to take them then you can ovulate pretty soon thats why you need to take them everyday at the same time
