court for an animal?

I'm coming to this site bc u ladies always give me some good feedback. Aug2016 my mom let me babysit her dog for a week while she went to NY. She came back n I asked if I could babysit for an extra week bc I just loved having this dog around. She agreed and then she let me keep the dog! I asked her if she's positive bc I don't wana spend $ on the dog if she's just Gonna take her away. It's now jan2017. My mom and I have always been on n off. She is just very toxic so we didn't speak for a few months and we made up a week before Xmas n she came n drove me to the vet to get her nails clipped and allergy meds and she came for Xmas. All of a sudden she wants the dog back and sends police at my door day after Xmas. The cops said I didn't have to give the dog back bc it's a civil matter. She got mad n changed her story stating I stole the dog a Month ago. I had proof I didn't, pictures from aug, vet bills, food bills, etc. she sent animal protective services just to harass me. They said the dog was fine n laughed at my mom. My mom has to take me to court. She bought the dog but she gave me the dog and I just got her microchipped. Waiting for it to be approved! Legally she'll be mine if she's microchipped the vet said. Can she take back the dog if she tries to take me to court? If so, what if I said the dog ran away? No hate ladies! We r very attached and she is vey loved! Mind u I'm 38w prego and stressed bc of this. My heart would be broken.
