Is Valentine's Day just for the ladies?

Valentine's Day is an over commercialized Day for people to go and over spend on flowers that will die, chocolates we don't really need... and expensive dinners at restaurants that are too busy to actually give good service.  I'd rather not acknowledge it at all..... but my husband insists so we compromise and go to dinner either the weekend before or after so it's not as busy.

my boyfriend doesn't like Valentine's Day, and we never really celebrate together. we believe we should love and spend time together all the time, not just one day.. I'm a hopeless romantic, so I buy him a corny little card every year :)
