Khaliyah is here!

I had not had a chance to sit down and post yet so here it goes.
My little sweetie made her appearance on 1-17-17!
She was delivered via cesarean section due to her being breech!
My husband and I went to the hospital at 530am to prep for surgery which started at 730am!
I walked into the operating room where the anesthesiologist talked with me about the spinal block I would be receiving.
The anesthesiologist performing it was a resident and stuck me in the back twice before giving up and asking for help from his mentor. The mentor was unable to find a spot he felt comfortable sticking and then reached out to another long term anesthesiologist to get the job done. He got it on the first stick and within moments my legs began to tickle.
They laid me back on the table and everything started going really fast; doctors and nurses were moving everywhere around me getting things in order; at this point my husband was brought in and met me at my side.
I was asked if I felt anything to see if the medication was fully blocking my pain yet. I said yea and then moments later the surgery began unknown to me! I didn't feel a thing!
My little lady was born with her feet first. Her arms and shoulders were a little tight to get out. Then the head was stuck and had to be maneuvered out. The umbilical cord was around her neck and she needed some coaxing to begin breathing.
That made me a little nervous and I began to cry but then she began to breath and shout and cry very furiously! I still started crying because I was happy she was here!
The whole procedure was a lot easier and less scared than I originally thought it would be! My doctor had great beside manner and my husband kept me calm!
Glad our little lady is here safe and sound!
