Is it okay to be scared of having sex? I mean, I'm a virgin and my friends are not. I can talk about sex perfectly fine, but I can't actually go through with it.

Yes it's ok to be scared. I was 35 when I had sex for the first time. It was on my wedding night. I was scared to have sex but my hubby took his time with me. It was the most beauitful time of my life. Save your self for the right guy. I promise you you won't regret it. Don't let your friends pressure you either. Remember you can only give it way for the first time once.

Don't do it because your friends are. It's not worth it!
Do it when you are ready and with someone you love and he respects you. Sex complicates things. You want it to be something special you remember!

I was kind if disappointed actually. Maybe it's been my partners, but I never found it to be as big a great thing as everyone makes it or to be.

Don't feel like you have to do this because your friends have. 
The first time could be painful but it's also really fun.  when you are ready I say use lube. It definitely helps!
