wrong gender ultrasound???

We found out we're having a girl at 14 weeks! Anybody ever get told the wrong gender?? I know 14 weeks is early so I'm not gonna get anything until my anatomy scan to confirm! I'm 17 weeks now!

My OB told me the most accurate readings are done at 16 weeks at the earliest when it comes to ultrasounds. Between 12-14 weeks both male and female genitalia can look the same. 
 
However, it's a 50/50 shot at being right, so there will always be people that it was correct for and others that it wasn't. Probably smart to wait until your anatomy scan though because you just never know! 
 
My friend was told her entire pregnancy that she was having a boy and on delivery day they found out it was a girl. That was even with the anatomy scan and other US further along. It's never a 100% thing!

My friends were told they were having a boy up until she delivered. The doctors were positive that's what she was having during all her ultrasounds. They have a lovely daughter now.

I had a chromosome test because like they said they look alike and couldn't say for sure.  But the blood test said girl.  I wanted a boy but now ok fine with a girl.  I mean I have to be right?

My sister had 3 us all of them said a girl ....the day of delivery healthy baby boy was born lol

Many women on here get told one gender at 15 WEEKS and another at 20. So I would not put too much faith in a 14 week old ultrasound. Boys and girls look identical at that stage...because girls vagina is very swollen and looks the same as a boy's wee wee. At 20 weeks the swelling has gone down on girls, and on boys, their wee wee has grown.
