4 month old on nap strike?

Diana
My 4 month old use to be good at taking naps, she'd take 3-4 naps.  Now, she won't take any naps that don't involve me holding her to sleep or that last longer than 20 mins!!! This is her 4th day on this!! Anybody else having this issue?
Not to mention she is still going through sleep regression for 6 weeks now!!

Same. On day 4 of this. Nights are going well since sleep training but I'm out of my mind in the days. I don't even care that nothing is getting done in the house and that I barely get a minute to eat, it's the fact he's so cranky in between these short 5 minute naps. Clearly they're not enough for him. He literally will not sit or play or anything all day because he hasn't slept enough. He screams at me all day. I spend the day praying for bedtime to come about. He needs to be held through a nap, he wakes the minute I put him down and he's never been like this! Only as a newborn.

Yep! My LO's 4 month sleep regression was a nap strike. She just stopped taking naps for a few days. Then I had an overtired baby and it was so hard to get her to sleep. But once asleep she was fine and slept her normal hours. It only lasted a few days however. Good luck!!

Mine started napping BUT waking up more at night! She was on a strike of only 20 mins napping from 8 weeks until 4 months & slept well at night waking only once or twice. Now she's a napping queen & a monster at night waking 4-5 times. I'm thinking sleep regression as well. It's been 3 weeks now with her nightly wakings. Not to mention she'll play if she's up during the night for about an hour. 😐

Uh yeah. I feel for you. My son was never a good napper but suddenly this week we are on to 3 naps, maybe 30 mins each. My pediatrician said he must be trying to transition to consolidated naps... He stays awake sometimes for 4 hours! It is exhausting. I don't hold him to sleep, if I place him in the crib as I usually do, he cries for 5-10 mins then finally nods off for his cat nap. I'm keeping the faith that it will get better

Mine is basically the same, just haven't been dealing with regression for quite that long.
