Curious! What birth control do you use and why?

Hi ladies! I'm curious, what kind of birth control do you use and why? I personally use a diaphragm and when I got it the nurse said she only knew of one other person who got one in 5 years, not to mention it took me forever to find one. So I'm wondering what everyone else is using and why they decided to go with that option. TIA!!

Condoms. Hormones are evil. Diaphragm sounds cool I just don't understand how it works by just sitting there..

Hi:) I personally use the nexaplanon implant as I found it worked the best for me... I was on the pill for a year but put one over 3-4 stone and constantly was in a bad mood, the doctors advised me to stop the pill as my blood pressure had risen too high and I was getting dangerous... the implant has been great. Myself and my boyfriend never use protection when having sex as it's 99.9% affective!! I would recommend it to anyone

I use the Paragard IUD! I wanted a long lasting option that I could put in place and it would last me for years, and I'm not a big fan of synthetic hormones.

If you don't mind my asking, what made you choose the diaphragm? It's an unusual choice in this day and age and as far as I'm aware, it's not as effective as many other methods. I'm just curious.

Condoms and pulling out. I don't like children so.... Also I'm in a LDR so we see each other so little it wouldn't be worth it right now.

I use condoms and hormonal pill. I have to take the hormonal pills to regulate my crazy irregular period...  It's a total pain 😩😧

I'm on nuvaring.  I love it, I have been on it for almost 2 years now and have never had a problem with it. The thing I love most about it is that I know the exact day I will start my period and for me, my periods last at most 4 days. It has been wonderful for me.

I only use condoms because I can't take anything with estrogen, leaving me only with an iUD and I know a few people that miscarried or experienced fertility issues after getting off of it. I know I want to be a mom someday, so the idea of doing anything to potentially prevent that terrifies me. Also, I did take the pill for a while and I got blood clots in my lungs from it. GET TESTED FOR CLOTTING DISORDERS BEFORE YOU TAKE PRODUCTS WITH ESTROGEN.

I'm on the birth control pill (junel fe) for my PCOS. Had a few side effects at first but now I'm just fine. My husband and I also use condoms, not as much recently but we do just to be extra safe!
