Is it normal for me to be this excited?

I had awful leg cramps from starting my period today so it made me go see my doctor and start bcp. Since I turned 18 at the beginning of this month I've been wanting to start but I have always been very modest and nervous about asking for it. Now I have it and Is it normal that I am Super excited to start?? Lol
