should I keep both?

I received both an audio and a video baby monitor at our shower. I know I want to use the video monitor... should I also keep the audio only? Is there benefits to keeping both. Husband says to keep it but I don't know that it will get used if the video monitor is set up.

We have both. If we travel we sometimes just take the audio because it's too hard to try and set up the video.

Well, wouldn't the video monitor have audio as well? If so, it would be silly to keep both. I would just give it to someone else who needs it, or donate it to a crisis center or something. ☺️ or hell, sell it if you need the money, or return it if you are still needing small things for baby!

I would return the audio only one. The video one probably has the option to 'turn off' the video part to save battery/power. Ours does. You would be surprised how you like to be so close to the baby that you don't need a monitor to hear them! Plus, people have had babies without monitors for quite some time. Lol. That is my response to the 'keep it as a backup' argument.
