Tell me about your IVF journey
Little back story...me 33 dh34. been ttc for 2.5 years. I only have 1 ovary and 1 tube (same side) due to a large cyst 6 years ago. Other than that all testing has come back as fine (FSH was 10.9 and they like to see under 11 so borderline but RE wasn't concerned). I ovulate monthly and have a regular cycle. We have done 3 iuis with clomid (100mg). I did get pregnant from our may IUI (last one) but miscarried at 5 weeks. I also had a chemical in sept but started bleeding on time (I'm an early tester) RE will only prescribe 2 more months of clomid before they recommend ivf.
So... my questions for you are:
1) did you try both clomid and femara before switching to ivf? (Re said femara is an option after the clomid)
2) did you do fresh or frozen transfer and reasoning?
3) was ivf or the meds covered thru insurance? We are in Canada and nothing is covered!
4) did you do the genetic screening before transfer?
5) how did you decide how many embryos to transfer
6) is there anything you wished you knew before going through ivf?
