Do u carry a gun?

I'm surprised that so many women on the purse post carry guns. I don't know anyone - personally- that does. I'm curious what led you to need one and if you recommend it

I don't carry one around even though I could even concealed carry in my state. Honestly, the place I feel I need a gun the most is in my home. My fiance works night shift and our neighbors are super sketchy. Anytime I answer the door when I'm home alone, I have a gun. We also have security cameras. So if I see it's a sketchy character or two, it's a shotgun. If it's not as suspicious (like recently the cops came to our door looking for the neighbor) I just bring my tiny handgun in my bathrobe pocket.
And when she's old enough and mature enough, our daughter will learn how to use guns and how to handle them safely. We believe that education is important in preventing accidents.

In the state of Louisiana I can't conceal carry because I'm not 21. (I'm 20). However I don't go around at night alone and we have a couple guns in our house. A hand gun in each night stand. I live in a not so great neighborhood, and I'm home alone quite a bit now with my husband working and going to school full time.

I was raised around guns by a police officer. My dad and both brothers are in law enforcement. My mom was also in law enforcement before becoming a counselor.

Gun safety is a must. If you don't know how to safely handle a gun, you shouldn't have one... it's more dangerous (I.e. My grandmother).

I don't because I'm not 21 yet and I can't legally in my state I will soon though. But my fiance does. Where we live we are #2 in the country for car thefts. A lot of our neighbors cars and house have gotton broken into. Over the holidays 70% of the citys mailboxes were even broken into! There's a lot of gang and drug activities and people of that nature are usually on drugs and will do anything for them. So anything to protect our daughter !!

Last year a 4 year old was shot in her head because her father and another man were having road rage on the freeway not to far from my house! She was coming home from her second day of preschool. I do believe guns can end up in the wrong hands and there should be a back ground check along with gun permits and they should be kept up and away from children !

I have a consealed carry license. I keep a handgun in my car at times. Rarely actually take it in anywhere unlsss I just don't feel comfortable at all.

No, but only because having a gun, legally, in Los Angeles County is very restrictive. Have to keep it locked in the trunk. So, it's useless for protection. (Taser gun, taser baton & several pepper sprays make up for it, I guess.)

I want my own for the shooting range. Looking to get one for myself for my birthday.

I see nothing wrong with guns as long as people have been trained to carry one & have gone through extensive background checks. I also feel that mature adolescents should be trained to use them & to understand the consequences of using them. Education is key. Yes, guns are a right, but you should have to earn the right to carry one. Too many demented & sensitive people in this day & age. & People are less likely to disturb someone they know is armed.
