Best shoes for babies who are ready to walk?

I'm hearing different opinions everywhere. Soft sole, hard sole, blah blah blah HELP

Moccs.. but put them in some hard soles every now and then so they get used to it.

It doesn't make any difference honestly. We put our daughter in both depending on what the day was like. Inside she had soft sole shoes with rubber grips outside she had hard soles. It didn't make any difference.

We bought Carters shoes in whatever stage was appropriate at that time. Had some other soft and hard sole options and it didn't seem to matter which we used.

I thought I read that you're actually not supposed to use shoes when they're just learning, so they learn how to keep their balance properly on their own feet first. Then once they're stable, just use whatever shoes are appropriate for where they are and what they're doing (soft soles for indoors, hard soles for playing outside).

Soft soles helped her for a while. But then she couldn't walk in hard soles. I'd just get both
