Hospital bag. Is it necessary?

I'm 30 weeks and I have not yet set up a hospital bag. This is my first pregnancy and I'm not quite sure if its necessary or when should I do it. Advice?

I brought my robe and some comfy pj's (don't forget an easy detachable bra to breastfeed easier) and a outfit for me and baby to go home in. Also don't forget the car seat! Lol I also brought my bathroom stuff and makeup. You could bring your boppy too if you want to help you breastfeed. Otherwise they will use pillows to elevate baby. I packed all my stuff the morning of my contractions lol

This is my first too and I plan on one. I don't want to bring a ton of pointless stuff but things like an extra outfit for me and baby, toiletries, makeup, phone charger, pads. You don't have to go all out but pack like you're having a sleepover!

With my first, I packed nothing. The hospital largely has everything you need (even toiletries), but obviously they won't be what you like or want. I had to have an emergency c section so that was a long time to go without. 
Honestly, I would go in with minimal stuff. Take a robe and your own toiletries. Maybe your own pillow. But I wouldn't pack a suitcase unless you really can't be without your stuff.

Yes! I found mine very useful. Grab essentials you like that you know you won't have when youre at the hospital. I took stuff to make me feel pretty (don't judge) like makeup, lotion, deodorant, razors, perfume and an outfit to head home in. The other essentials were cell phone charger, sanitary pads, and stuff for the baby like wipes, diapers, bib, and an outfit. I also took my boppy pillow to help position the baby to feed. It made a huge difference.

Yes u need to pack a bag but I think 30 weeks is a Lil early.

I'd do it now! Or within the next couple weeks! I had mine ready at like 25 weeks just incase something happened I was prepared!

I went off the list of what the hospital suggested, but then I didn't take half the stuff. I didn't forget to pack shampoo and deodarent but somehow remembered body wash haha. My DH brought it back to me.
