1 ibuprofen????

I'm 29 weeks with a terrible intense migraine for the past couple days.. think I can take a ibuprofen?? Just one time. Tylenol is not working at all!!!

Sorry ibuprofen is not safe. There are migraine meds (imitrex) that are considered safe however.

You have to take the Tylenol WITH caffeine to get rid of the migraine. I had the same issue and that's what my OB recommended. Everytime I see a post about this I suggest it and it works for everyone.

I've had horrible headaches since I was a kid, and have them worse while pregnant, but I've always been weird about meds (even before my pregnancy) and don't like taking them. Well you can imagine how much weirder I've become since I found out I was pregnant lol I don't take any type of medication. But honestly, when I get bad headaches I drink a small caffeinated drink and then some water, and that helps me.

Talk to your doctor. I know it is a big no no in the 3rd trimester and not recommended in 1st or 2nd.

Some meds might be OKayed in special cases if the benefit outweighs the risk but your doctor would be the one to make that call.

I was told by my doctor that if you're gonna do an ibuprofen while you're pregnant, do it before the 3rd trimester and only do it once maybe twice and then you're done. I wasn't comfortable with it so I didn't but that's what I was told.
