If I go out for appetizer and drinks with a friend am I obligated to pay or  pay for 1 or 2 drinks?? I've never really known etiquette for this stuff....and I don't want it to be awkward...thanks

Get separate bills, split anything you shared, but pay for your own drinks/food

I just split it , don't like the hassle of who got who and who's paying for what . If i don't have it I stay my ass home. I can't stand people who go out and count what they got down to the penny. Stay your broke ass home or order some water 😂😂😂

If I'm with my best friend we alternate paying for the whole meal. Or whoever throws money down first lmao we've never separated a bill. Either I just want to buy her dinner or she wants to buy me dinner. But with other friends when the waiter asks about the check just tell them to split it. I'm a server and this is extremely common and not rude at all.
