Anyone else living in US worried about having your baby & raising your child in such a divided, angry time or scared that you may lose insurance before delivery?

The ACA required that certain women's health services/prenatal services be covered by insurances and my biggest fear is that if it gets repealed, my insurance will choose to see pregnancy as a "pre-existing condition" like they used to. I am terrified that I will have to deliver my baby without the help of insurance and be saddled with the medical bills because nobody seems to care about women's or prenatal healthcare in the U.S.

I'm 24. Due March 5. I'm still on my parents insurance thanks to the affordable care act and it's way cheaper and better coverage than my fiancé's. If it were to be repealed so insurance companies have the choice to insure older children or not I'd be terrified that I'd be kicked off my parents insurance. Baby will be on his dad's insurance (since he's over 26 he has his own). But for me I have no clue what I would do if all of a sudden I'm in a situation where I'm about to deliver without insurance. That's just my most immediate fear.

I wish you guys could enjoy the perks for expecting and new mums like we get here in nz! Saddens me that you gotta go through all that even medical bills just to have a baby wow'

Just remember that the biggest and most important influence in your child's life is you and the friends and family you bring into your baby's life.  No matter how bad things are politically your child will be raised in love.

The concern about health care is very real and troubling and I can only hope that as more people see how damaging their politicking is they will find a way to do what's best for actual Americans.
