Period on wk 3 pill?

Is it possible to be on your period at the start of week 3 pills? Bc I'm bleeding down there as if it were my period, and also some of it is brown. Could it be possible, when last month my period was on the 13th, and I was on my placebo pills?

Did you miss a pill? That can cause spotting. Also if you haven't been taking your birth control for long could still be your body adjusting to the hormones. But generally if taken properly you should just have your period when you take the blank pills.

Is it new to you? I had breakthrough with alesse, which is the same through out,  but when I switched to a triphasic pill (I did triquilar) it stopped. But if I'm not right on time I'll get spotting and my period starts early.
