marriage before having a baby ??

Is it weird that I don't care about getting married before I have a baby ?? Yes I do want to get married but I'm in no rush ! I love my boyfriend and he's such a wonderful guy but I rather wait to get married and just start my family now !

That's how much of Scandinavia rolls tbh, and after living in Iceland and Norway for a decade, it's how my son will come into the world. We're getting married 3 months after he comes, but it isn't exclusively because of him. We set the wedding date before we knew I was pregnant.

Honestly that used to be the thing you did back in the day but these days it isn't as really a big deal anymore if you're married before or not. My fiancé and I planned our wedding for 2018 due to just buying a house two months after getting engaged. However I didn't want to wait until I was 25 and my fiancé was 27 to finally start trying for a child so we started trying before hand that way we could get pregnant and have the baby prior to our wedding. I feel no shame and I am beyond happy we are doing it this way. It really comes down to personal opinion. Some woman still feel they should be married first which I totally okay.

My son was 6 months old when my husband and I got married. I held him at the alter for part of the service lol. I loved it!

There is no wrong way to go about this as we all have our own beliefs and different situations. But I feel if you are in no hurry to get married than there is no hurry to bring a child into this world. Marriage helps set up the foundation that makes it easier to raise a child. It establishes a household, commitment, different sense of responsibility. There is a reason that song goes " first comes love, then comes marriage, then comes baby in a baby carriage". Children are a beautiful blessing but they are very expensive, stressful, time consuming, and make it hard to focus on a relationship between a person and their partner. My partner and I had our daughter almost 8 years ago and weren't married. We're still not married and have been together just shy of 10 years. We're pregnant with our 2nd and the first thing everyone asked was if we were getting married. I don't really feel the need to but he wants to, so I guess we probably will at some point haha. Do what feels right for you.

We had our son before we got married. We have been together for 5 years and married for 2. We have 2 kids and 1 on the way. I believe if you are happy together and you both know what you want. You also can communicate and compromise, then go for it. You don't have to be married to have kids, specially if it's not your religious practice.

I'm the same way. I'm engaged & 10 weeks pregnant. It didn't really bother me that I wasn't married before I got pregnant. I didn't even think about it. I just got to hear it from people who think you need to get married first. Upset because we are "having a baby out of wedlock." Whatever people. Half of them weren't even married before they got pregnant so they can't even say anything 🙄
