Husband sick (cold) during delivery?

If your SO is sick (say a really bad cold or the flu) when you go into labor will they be banned from the delivery room or just made to wear protection (gown/mask/gloves)

Ask the hospital mine wouldn't let my son stay with me wail I had his brother becuase he had a bad cough and it wasn't even from a cold it was from is allergies and asthma he has but they made him sit in the waiting room he was only there cuz we were meeting the person that was watching at the hospital I went into labor middle of the night

Hospitals might have their own rules. I'm the sick one right now so I hope I don't pass it on.

I think if it's anyone else they ask them to leave but if it's the father I'd guess they give him protective gear like you said, mask etc...
