would you agree to c section for breech baby?

Would you agree to a c section if your baby was breech or try to push anyway if your doctor allowed you?
Just read a fb post about this and as usual there were tons of women bashing c sections.

My daughter was butt first and my son was feet first. So no I would not and do not recommend trying to push out a breech baby. Those bashing c-sections have clearly never had to have one in order to ensure their babies life!!! I'm having my 3rd c-section in May due to not being physically able to go through the labor process. I would love to have a woman bash me for it!!! It would not go well for her!!!

I have a midwife that specializes in breech home births. At this point my son is still breech and I'm still planning a home birth. I've seen many many breech birth videos and I'm still hoping he turns but it's whatever at this point. I'm 32 weeks. She delivered breech twin 's last week. I'm completely comfortable and trusting of her ability. Many think I'm crazy but in all reality breech babies are dangerous whether born vaginally or c section. Only reason doctors don't deliver breech babies vaginally is because of their liability insurance. Midwives do not have this insurance. Also many doctors never witness a vaginal breech birth and have no idea what to do where as midwife witness and also participate on the births and know what they are doing.

C section. What if the cord is wrapped around their neck or leg and they don't know it? It could cause complications.  I would rather have a scheduled c section than an emergency one!

I would try and push if the only problem was that the baby is breech. There are lots of babies born breech. Now if the cord was wrapped around a lot or the baby's heart rate was dropping then absolutely a c-section!

I had a c section with my son and the recovery is long and painful but I just didn't like the idea of them pushing and pulling to turn him.

There's a lot of babies that are born in breached position. I've had 2 deliveries and I've never had a c-section.  I'm terrified of them to be honest but if it came down to the safety of my child I wouldn't even think about it twice.

My friend who was pregnant with twins gave birth naturally and they were both breech.. They were also 9lbs a piece and it was a home birth.. It can be done

I like my drs recommendation- if it's the first baby c section it is, if it's the 2nd (or beyond) and you've been successful at a vaginal birth it's worth a try to deliver breech, since your pelvis has already been tested. The risks of issues drop for breech births if it's not the 1st.
