The pill

Hey Ladies, i was wondering if someone could answer this question for me. I spoke to my doctor yesterday about possibly going on the pill and she agreed however, i was somewhat indecisive then as she said "there can be a lot of side effects" etc etc.. i have made my final decision to go on the pill because i am absolutely sick and tired of having my period. Better to have a couple temporary side effects than to bleed out of my vag for 6-7 days while being in serious pain during that.

Does anyone know of pill brands here in AUSTRALIA that are the best for stopping your period and aren't super expensive? Im 17, about to turn 18 by the way. I have so much to do day to day and my period completely stops me from doing anything for 6 days or more due to how heavy and painful it is. I'm not currently on it at the moment, it finished the other day.
