irregular period?

So I got my period around February last year and the last time I've had a cycle was so long ago I can't even remember and it was spotting for less then a day. I haven't gotten one yet should I be worried? (ps I'm a Virgin)

That'll depend on what birth control you use, I don't really have a period anymore because I opted for the Skyla IUD (I couldn't do the pills), but everyone has pretty different reactions to birth control. I definitely feel more in control of my own body now so with or without a period I'm happy lol!

I was the same, I had really heavy ones
first starting out with my cycle and for some reason my period would disappear for six or more months at a time! And then after a few years of that they got way too often. So I went to my first gynecologist appointment and she started tested me for PCOS, but to help regulate I went on birth control. I still do not know for a fact that I have PCOS but the weird periods and other signs led my lady doctor to believe that is what I have. Personally, if you haven't already, I would go visit a gynecologist, get everything checked out, and voice your concerns!
