Can we choose sex of the baby with ifv?

The embryos can be tested but at a cost. This wasn't an option for us as our ivf was funded

I was told with testing they can tell you how many boy and girl embryos you have.. But that choosing would be even more $$. But maybe that's just my place. Choosing gender was in a different category & considered "extra". They usually choose the strongest of your embryos, regardless of gender.

If you get your embryos pgs tested, there is a chance that you can select the gender. I say chance only because let's say you have 4 embryos growing properly enough to test. When you get the results back, you may learn that only 2 of those embryos are healthy and that they may both be boys (or both be girls). If that's the case, you obviously wouldn't get the chance to choose gender.
