heartbeat?

So I have my first doctor appointment on Monday and I'll be 5 weeks, 3 days. I guess my question is when can a heartbeat be detected? Will I see it on the ultrasound or have to wait?

I got a heartbeat at 5w6d, dr said the heart probably just started to beat and was 111bpm

It depends if they do a transvaginal or abdominal ultrasound. But normally from 6 weeks onwards, depending on baby's position and skill of the tech.

My first ultrasound, I was about six weeks and they saw the heartbeat, but that doesn't always happen.

Heartbeat can be heard closer to 10weeks. If your doing an ultrasound maybe they can see something fluttering
