clomid ??? anyone ??

So my husband and I been married for 2 and half years never been on birth control or any other types of protection and haven't got pregnant yet !! Went thru so much check up and all is good w me and the only thing with my husband is that some of his sperm shapes are abnormal which makes it little harder to get pregnant! So my obgyn recommended me to take clomid ( pills u take the third day of ur period for 5 days ) and then start trying .. she said some side effects are hormonal changes which will make me extra emotional and possible some gain weight I'm 120 lb 5.3 I don't wanna gain weight .. debating what to do and if I should start taking the pills ?? Any advice or recommendations or any of u experienced this ?? I would appreciate any thoughts
