Has anyone ever felt like the ultrasound tech was wrong on gender???

My ultrasound tech did my ultrasound and I was told that i was expecting a girl. I have a feeling that it's a boy. And while getting my ultrasound done I think I saw a little boy part. I don't know what to do! My Doctor told me that He couldn't send me to get another done without a medical reason. What should I do?

Go to a private ultrasound place. Insurance won't cover it, but you can usually pay 100$ and have a technician tell you the gender and you'll get pictures and stuff printed off!

You could also get the blood work which is more accurate than an ultrasound as it measures chromosomes and is not based on picture interpretation. Good luck!!

I'm an US tech and I can tell you that 3-6 x a week we have mommies come for there anatomy scans and the early sex ultrasounds at the 3D places the techs got it wrong!  Sucks to have happen but it happens 3-6x a week for us.

They told me "It looks like it's going to be a girl" and we just looked at her confused because we weren't sure about what that meant.. before we left we asked "So it's a girl" and she said "Yeah it looks like" so we just left with that idea. And a couple of weeks ago we started thinking about it but we already bought everything for a girl and we still have our mind set that it's a girl. I still had doubt and just never decided to go to place where you pay to get the gender. So if you're really unsure I suggest to go and check somewhere else. I'm due this upcoming 4th of February.
