Why would losing virginity to boyfriend be awkward?

Many ladies on this app lost their virginity to their boyfriend who they were in love with. But they also say that their first was awkward and weird even though they felt ready. Why would your first time be this awkward if it's your boyfriend that you love and feel ready and comfortable with?

It was so awkward for me because 1.) I've never been comfortable with my body 
2.) I was naked and vulnerable in front of someone that I really love. 3.) I was scared to touch his dick because I was so scared of it!! Like do I poke it? Grasp it? 😂😂 4.) neither of us were in the moment. It was kind of like a okay. We're naked. So uh... put your thing in my thing. 6.) I COULDNT get into the moment because I embarrassed about every part of my body. And to make it worse we were in a car in a neighborhood.  And it was cold so I had goosebumps everywhere 😂 5.) IT DIDNT GO IN 😳. It hurt so bad. Like really bad. It was like the hole was blocked completely because it just WAS NOT going in.

So... didn't happen for us the first couple of times 😂😂😂. It was really awkward. We still loved each other to death. Even then. We ended up just laughing it off and watching movies naked together.

I didn't feel awkward I just think that the girls who find it awkward aren't actually ready.
