I had a positive hpt went to the dr the next day negative blood test took another hpt 2 days later and it was positive went back to the dr the next day and finally showed up on it. My daughter is now 1 and a half ;)

Whoever said if your late and it was negative then it's negative: that's not true. it depends on which blood test. A quantitative will tell you exact levels. A qualitative will just say positive or negative like a hpt. If it was a qualitative and her levels just weren't high enough, it's gonna say negative. Some pregnancies take longer to get up to a detectable level. There's a common misconception that blood tests are all more accurate and that's not the case. It really depends on the lab your doc uses. And that's speaking from personal experience.
