Whats in your hospital bag ?

I'm curious as to what everyone packed in their bags. Theres a billion things online with suggested items to pack but I want to know what everyone packed and actually needed.

Besides clothes and BASIC toiletries, I didn't pack much. With my first I took my own towels, a fluffy robe, blanket, and pillow, but I won't be taking any of that this time. They're nice to have, but take up SO much space. It's such a hassle to carry all of that into the hospital just to turn around and take it back out two days later, along with your baby and everything you're taking from the hospital. I will 100% survive using a hospital towel/pillow/blanket for the 48 hours or so that I'm there. I did pack a lightweight robe though to throw over a nursing tank. You should also see if your hospital provides lanolin if you plan to nurse, some do and some don't. Some hospitals only provide dry wipes that you have to wet in the sink, and I hated those, so I bring my own baby wipes. I also threw a pair of nursing pads in my bag because my milk came in early last time.

With my first I brought WAAAAYYY too much. 
This time around I'm bringing enough clothes for baby (think several changes a day because of spit up and watery poops), the small BIBS and burpies (lifesavers, seriously), little hats and hand mittens. I highly suggest bringing the zip up sleep n plays instead of multiple piece outfits -- they take up so much unnecessary time and effort. When you're tired it doesn't make sense. At least 3-4 receiving blankets (they get body fluids on them). At least 2-3 pairs of COMFY clothes for you, loose fitting around the belly in case you end up with a c section literally don't bring a shirt that touches your belly it hurts like nobody's business. Loose fitting pants. If you plan on nursing, 2 Nursing bras, a couple of nursing pads if your milk comes in fast, nipple cream (they should have nipple guards). A light robe. Underwear you don't care about. Toothbrush toothpaste, hair products, a laundry bag or trash bag for soiled clothes -- they can get REALLY soiled. Something that makes you feel good about yourself or relaxed... a spray bottle for cold water to be sprayed on your face -- cold washcloths don't do a THING! Ask if they have a fan, if they don't, a lol fan would be good too. That saved my life last time. You get hot!!!!

I packed a nightgown, pillows, blanket, toothbrush, and a whole mess of stuff for the baby. I also packed shampoo and toiletries. What I'll bring next time is a nightgown, robe, toothbrush, toothpaste, extra hair tie, chopstick, phone charger, and 2 different size outfits for the baby. That's all! I brought 3 bags of crap and then made my husband carry that stuff back home lol. I was only there 1 night so I didn't shower and they provided pads and tucks for me and also diapers and wipes and everything you could think of for the baby.

Call the hospital and ask what they provide. Some would provide everything including a blanket you can take home with your baby and others (like in the U.K.) need you to bring even diapers.
It also depends on your preference, would you want to wear your own clothes or would you prefer a hospital gown. Do you want your own pillow from home? Do you prefer a certain brand of pads? Disposable panties or your own granny panties?

Robes (pretty one for pics and comfy one), body pillow, Boppy Pillow, couple sizes of baby outfits (my baby is supposed to be small so I brought NB and preemie), baby blanket, burp clothes (a couple), snacks (mostly for hubby and my mother), toiletries (everything I need to get cleaned up - brushes, hair dryer, makeup), nursing bra, nursing pads, stool softener/benefiber, breathing strips, prenatals,  granny panties, slippers/socks, nightgown, comfy clothes for a couple of days (i.e. tee shirts, yoga pants), and something comfy/cute to go home in. I think that's about it. My hospital provides most everything else (nipple cream, pads, diapers/wipes for baby). I always pack more than less because I get really anxious otherwise haha! There are some great checklists if you Google it, too! I've been getting my list together for awhile now. I just put it on the list as I think of it. Good luck!!
