can you request to be induced?

Question

This is my second pragnecy and with my first baby I was induced I told my Dr. How uncomfortable I was and she set a date! I loved how planed it was and just everything about it I would really like to do the same thing with this pregnancy! 
When should I tell her? 
Has anyone else had  this?

Not trying to be a dick,  but is it really worth taking baby out before they are ready? Because you're uncomfortable?

My doctor induced at 39 weeks with my second baby due to my long commute (I traveled almost 2 hours one way). I had already had a short labor with my first and she didn't want me having baby on the side of the road. I will be induced at 37 weeks with this one due to IUGR so I'm honestly not sure if they do it for convenience or only out of necessity.

I'll be induced at 39 weeks because of high blood pressure. If you have the same doctor maybe she will. Most don't induce unless medically necessary.

You can request it but every doctor is different. Mine gave me the option to endure starting at 39+1 if I wanted to. (I didn't though and ended up going into labor naturally at 39+6)

Oh man I was induced at 41+3 with my first and this time I will wait until 42 to avoid induction. It was awful. But whatever floats your boat! I too am very uncomfortable and I'm only 27 weeks.

Most doctors will induce at 39 weeks, if your bishops score is high enough. It definitely can't hurt to ask.

Yes you can, don't listen to people that say bad things about inductions. Inductions are okay. If I don't deliver by Friday. I will be induced next Thursday at 40 weeks and 6 days. I refuse to be 42 weeks pregnant.

I've been induced with all 5 of my previous pregnancies they didn't give me an option though
