What age do you start the cry it out method?

I think we started it closer to 9 months.
I would never start it before 3 months because baby is still forming an attachment and crying is how they express their needs. And if you don't come when they cry they will start to learn their needs aren't important which can effect their development greatly in the future

I wouldn't do it until at least 6 months. When babies cry they need something, even if it's just to be held and cuddled

I don't know because I'm a first time mom but I'm planning on doing it or a variation of it around 12 months... but we'll see. I'm not sure what to expect haha
