Massachussets moms with baby who has eczema?

Hi, Wondering if there is any moms here that live in massachussets so we can share experience with our LO having eczema? I just don't know anybody dealing with this and would like to connect with someone that is having this issue as well.

We're in Minnesota and are having the same problem! We got prescribed desonide because the coconut oil and aquaphor we were using provided no relief. Our dr also told us taking him to the pool will kill any bacteria in his skin and epsom salt baths could help!

My son started to get eczema around 3 months old. It slowly got worse and worse and he was scratching at it. His doctor gave a prescription hydrocortisone cream which clears it all up when applied daily. Started feeding him yogurt around 6 1/2 months and I think it's helping his ezcema. The yogurt helps boost their immune system which I guess helps with the ezcema. So I haven't had to put the cream on as often now!

I'm not in MA but I have eczema and so does my 6m old daughter. I have sensitivity to dairy, I don't get stomach issues but skin issues. If the formula is dairy based, that might be part of it. Eucerin baby wash is great, only use 1 or 2 pumps the whole bath,  I also use Eucerin eczema cream.  Also use a free and clear detergent, I use All free and clear. A humidifier in her room at night may help too. You may also want to look into biotin supplement. I use a liquid one for myself. I'll put 1 tiny drop in my daughter's bottle every couple of days. It's a form of vitamin b.

Thanks Kristen for reacching out! My daughter drinks a hyppoallergenic formula. She has atopic dermatitis (cheeks, around mouth and chin). How old is your bestfriend's son? Do you where is ezcema located?

I'm in Massachusetts, but my daughter does not have eczema. One of my best friends son does, so I understand how difficult it can be! Are you formula or breastfeeding? She said changing his formula to one her pedi recommended helped a lot for him!
