anyone's older child change when baby came?

I have an almost 5 year old who never ever gave us a problem with anything and ever since the baby was born she is horrible !!!! Talks back, crys all the time, yells at us lol it's crazy 😩 I feel so bad and we don't do anything differntly or have her left out she just changed so much

Having a new baby around would be a huge life changer for her aswell, she may be even feeling a little jealous of the new addition and she now has to share your attention. Just give it a bit of time and she will adjust to the new changes

Yes. My daughter was 4 when I had my son and her behavior changed when he came. She was a fantastic toddler and no issues. Then bam! She changed in an instant. It's hard because they're used to being the only kid and getting all of your attention, then suddenly they're not anymore. Just do your best not to yell and to make time for your older child. Have Mommy and me dates when possible. If the baby is sleeping and you feel up to it, take that time to read to them or do a project. Try to include the older child in baby's care too. If bottle feeding, let them hold the bottle. Let her help with baths. Find things like that for her to do

Yes! It has been horrible! We have tried EVERYTHING! Sometimes I feel like I have failed her but I feel like she got hit with so much all at once, a new baby brother and started kindergarten and we lost my mom all within a 6 month span.
