Baby shower gifts?

I've got the big necessities but people are asking what I want for gifts and I don't know what to ask for!

What are some great things you never thought of but are glad you got?

Never too many wipes or bigger size diapers. Meaning don't get more than a few newborns and size ones lol

Good ear thermometer  (I have a braun), muslin blankets, receiving blankets  (I use them to cover changing areas and lots of things besides a blanket, spit up doesn't get through them), baby wash, white noise machine, baby wash cloths/towels, boppy pillow and extra covers, t-shirt bibs (the ones that go over the head no velcro, they're pricey but they're the best), baby board books, infant toys.

Bassinet (we asked for a pack n play but my SIL got one and her son stayed in the basssinet part for all of 2 weeks), we got a convertible crib (crib to full bed) from a family friend, BOXES AND BOXES OF DIAPERS and wipes we ran out of diapers at like month 3 but our son went from size 1 to a size 3 within those months and he was at a size 3 for two months but we have about a hundred packages of wipes still; we got a lot of bottles we have about 12 Dr.Browns and three Playtex VentAire, a humidifier and a exercauser. Aside from clothes those are the best things we got

All your bath stuff, lotions, diaper cream, diapers and wipes (can never have enough of those but tell ppl to get bigger sizes) books, you could get stuff for when the baby is older too. Bath toys, soppy cups, plates, spoons.
Gift cards are always the b st because then you can save them for when you need them!

My sister in law gave us a basket of health type items to include a thermometer, nose frida, little remedies brand acetaminophen, saline drops, safety cotton swabs, boogie wipes and some other stuff. I have used every single item and would have otherwise not had them when I needed them. It's had now become my standard baby shower gift for friends and family who are expecting. Practical and definitely useful.
