I was 38 weeks and went for my appt at 1:30pm. I was dilated to 4 and 95% effaced. He did a sweep. 9:30pm that night lying in bed....water broke EVERYWHERE! LOL it was 10x worse than what you see in the movies for me. I had a high amount of fluid haha. Main thing...you body has to be ready to give birth for it to work. You go in with a dilation of 2 and get it done, it might take a bit longer and be more uncomfortable when the doc does it.

I was dilated to a 5 when my dr did it and I was back at my next appointment a week later. 😏

I had mine done on a Thursday and went into labor and delivered on the following Sunday! I was 39+4 when I delivered.

I refused it. I don't wanna be in pain for nothing :/
