Low platelet count 38 weeks

So I received a phone call from the doctor yesterday about having a low platelet count and if it remains low I wont be able to receive the epidural. I am freaking out! They are sending me to a rheumatologist but being this far along, I can go into labor any day now. Did anyone else experience this? And how did delivery go? Im a FTM and really scared. I am doing home remedies that i found online to help increase it.
