HPS or Deer Rat disease

Does anyone know about this? I've been sick since the first week of January and I have or had all the symptoms but It could also just be a cold and flu. I went to the emergency room during January and they did blood work and everything and they just said I had a virus but could it not show up at first? I don't have rats in my house but we have spotted some outside
