When to announce...

My thought exactly when people ask when is the best time to announce. I don't agree with waiting until 12 or 13 weeks (2nd trimester) stuff. Life begins at conception and it should be celebrated immediately. "A person's a person, no matter how small." -Dr. Seuss 💗💙😍😊

I understand what you are saying, I've had two miscarriages in the past. I feel more comfortable waiting until 12 weeks when the risk decreases. Now don't get me wrong, I know anything can happen at any time but this is what I'm comfortable with because of my past. Everyone is entitled to their own choice. I wouldn't knock anyone who tells early just because I wouldn't.

We are 16 weeks now and the only ppl who know are our parents, siblings and grandparents. We had two miscarriages so I'm hesitant to say anything. I'm constantly worrying if everything is okay. Maybe after our appointment on the 12th we will make an official announcement! Last time we announced FB as soon as we found out then went through miscarriages. I personally felt so many ppl got hopes up for us only to be let down. But I say when the time is right go for it! "A person is a person no matter how tiny!"

I plan on announcing April 1st. I'll be exactly 13 weeks then and Id rather not go through the pain of having to tell people I'm not getting bigger because I'm not pregnant anymore. I would've been due feb 14th if I hadn't miscarried so I'm kinda holding this one close to the vest. Only people who know are my mil (needed someone to spill my fears to without sounding dumb) my DH, and my best friend who is also pregnant and only a couple days ahead of me in her due date.

I planned to wait to tell everyone. I told my husband first and then my best friend and my mom. And then I had so many questions and concerns so I told more of my mom friends so I could ask for multiple people's advice. And then my mom told my dad (they're divorced) and he told my brother and I worried it would get around my hometown to my other family so I went ahead and told my grandfather and aunt who told my other family members. And by then, my husband and I figured there's not much point in keeping it from his family so we've been working on telling them. I'm only 2-3 weeks so I'm worried something could happen and I'll have to tell everyone the bad news. But I'm hoping for a healthy pregnancy for the next 38+ weeks!
