Stocking up on baby items?

Question

Has anyone started buying diapers and whatnot before baby is even conceived? I told my friend my SO and I will be TTC here in the next few months and she recommended going ahead and stocking up on a few of the baby items. I'm not sure if I feel like it's too early or not.

I used to work at a children's boutique that went out of business so I have a TON of baby clothes. I also bought the baby furniture because it was 60% off over Black Friday. I know I'll end up with kiddos (whether biologically or adopted) so if I see a deal I go ahead and buy it!

I didn't to start with because I thought it was bad juju. Then I had a CP over Christmas and thought f*** it, I've had the bad luck! I have 2 baby gro so far. DH is still a bit weirded out by buying stuff and feels like it's bad luck but it's helping me to stay positive and look forward to our sticky bean ❤️

I'm picking up one or two things here and there when I spot something cute and gender neutral or on clearance. Nothing major, and if I get tired of looking at it or waiting I'm fine donating.

My bf and I started stalking up on diapers and cheep baby items when we decided to start trying. It can be disappointing when AF arrives but then I just go buy a baby item and it gives me hope for the next month. It is great to spread the cost of diapers out over a longer amount of time rather than after the baby is a reality.
