Breast feeding or formula feeding?

Question

I'm currently pregnant with my first child. I honestly do not want to breast feed but my family is pretty much forcing me to. Which do you guys prefer & am I wrong for not wanting to breast feed?

Those boobies you have, they belong to you. You are not obligated to hand them over to your child. 
Now don't get me wrong, breastfeeding is amazing and has a whole bunch of benifits but I promise you that your kid will still eat his or her own boogers or weird estranged food from the couch cushions in 2-3 years so tell your family that it is your body and your baby and your kid will be fine either way.

I mean by fact breastfeeding is better, but that in no way means you have to. Some people can't breastfeed, work certain hours and don't have time, or just generally don't feel comfortable with it and that's fine. Formula feeding isn't going to make the baby dumb, I was formula fed and I'd like to say I turned out fine. Do what you feel is right and what's most comfortable for you

I'm 26 and had my LO 4months ago. Breastfeeding is the hardest thing I've ever done between latch problems,making sure your drinking enough water and eating enough, plus getting some sleep your self is so stressful and every moment I was doubting myself. My husband was very supportive but my sister who has breastfeed all her kids was very mean to me and always was telling I was doing it wrong or I was holding her wrong or something, which in turn made me cry every time, I'm so lucky to have had my husband helping me with breastfeeding and keeping me calm and just being super supportive cause with out his strong support there would have been no way I could have done it for the two months I managed to do it. I had to stop for medical reasons. If you have a strong support system do it if it feels right but if not just formula feed...a fed baby is best

You can always pump and put the milk in bottles for the baby. That way they get the benefits of the breast milk but you don't have to have them latching onto you. Just an idea.

Do what you feel is best. If you aren't enjoying breastfeeding, then it's not good for you or the baby. It's going to make feeding times uncomfortable and that's the last thing you want. You want both you and the baby to enjoy feedings. Do what you want to do.

Try breastfeeding, if you don't like it try expressing and giving breastmilk in a bottle. If that doesn't work go with formula. I combination fed my son, he has expressed breastmilk and formula and he is one of the healthiest babies I know

I would at least try it once. I think right after baby is born it feels natural for you and baby, but if you don't want to don't do it nobody is making you do anything.

There's no argument: breast milk is the best for a baby. But being fed is most important. You can pump and give that baby the best
