I avoided pre term labor😳
So, this is how it all went down. Early this morning around 5am, I woke up with bad cramping in my lower abdomen. I wrote it off and tried to go back to sleep. Twenty minutes later, the pain came back. It started dull and the pain got sharper and more intense. I felt a little nauseous and also strangely felt an overwhelming urge to use the bathroom, like if you try to hold in a potential dangerous fart(if you know what I mean lol💩) It felt like the worse period cramp ever. I grabbed the book from my birth class and looked up the first stage of labor and identified the pains as definite contractions. Since, I wanted to make sure I wasn't having Braxton Hicks, I got out the contraction timer on my phone and logged the first on at 5 am for 45 seconds and the second one at 5:21 for 40 seconds. At 5:43, I had another one for 42 seconds. At this point, I figured this was enough of a pattern to classify this as potential pre term labor. I'm 36weeks 4 days. I did what I learned in birth class about ways to stop pre term labor and drank two and a half giant glasses of water and laid back down on my left side to wait for an hour. I had another contraction at 6:04, but it was shorter, only about 30 seconds. Then my contractions started to become irregular, short, and not as intense. Within the hour of drinking all the water and laying down, my contractions stopped. I was so relieved! Thank God I paid attention in birth class.😅😅😅
