My mother had me keep a purse when I turned 12 and she told me about periods and around when I should look for mine. Inside the purse was a pad, baby wipes, panties in a zip lock bag folded up and travel side spray and powder. My mother taught me to ALWAYS be prepared

I was in drawing classes a lot in college so we had nude models from time to time. One girl was standing still in her pedestal for us to draw one day. About thirty minutes passes and people begin to whisper. Someone went up to her and let her know blood was running down her leg. Everyone was super nice and discrete about it. But it still had to be pretty embarrassing to get a period nude in front of about 20 people!

I always get pre-period cramps before my period. I call it "the call of the storm" haha

It was the first day of highschool, and this kid I didn't even know came up to me and was like "there is stuff all over the back of your uniform" (we wear uniforms in Australia) and I looked back and instantly looked like a tomato and said "oh I think I just have sat on something during lunch" and it was first period... 😭😭 we never talked again 😂 OH AND I HAD TO WALK HOME LIKE THAT AND GO THROUGH THE REST OF THE DAY WITH MY BLOODY SCHOOL UNIFORM (and it stained every seat I sat on) #embarassing 😂

So I'm in college right? As soon as I was done having sex w/ my SO I laid down and put my panties back on to cuddle and go to sleep... Then I felt it rush out... I find myself always knowing wen my period is gonna come, it's in the dot every month.....but I ignore my PMS and then act surprised when i get my period. I'm like "bitch you knew this was happening " but I still act oblivious

The first time I got my period I was 12. I remember feeling weird all day since I had lunch, and feeling an unusual amount of discharge in my panties. I didn't go check because ew school bathrooms, but as soon as I got home I went to pee and found that my panties were covered in this weird brown stuff! I remember thinking that I had sharted myself at some point during the day and not realized it, so I rushed to the sink (which is just outside my parents' bathroom) to clean it up before anyone saw it. Just then, my mom came home from work and found me, butt naked and mortified, trying to clean what looked like diarrhea from my panties 😂. She explained to me that this was something normal that happened before you got your period, gave me a pad and some tight pants so that I would catch the first few drops of blood. I remember checking every 5 mins and being so freaking excited about seeing a tiny little speck of red on the pad 😂. Now even in the days before my period I'm like "fuuuuuuuuck!" I was lucky not to get cramps the first few times but when I did...
