Military Army Wives/GFs/HELP

So this is all super new and scary but husband is joining the army and I am S O emotional. He's going to MEPS this week to enlist and I'm falling apart. I'm so proud of him and I know that this isn't even the hard part but I'm over thinking EVERYTHING. I've never been without him now he'll be gone for WEEKS. How did you do this? My hubby is getting mad at me because I'm getting sad because of my own thoughts and I don't know how to fix it.
