So as a first time mom, what did you forget to get?

I just want to make sure I have what I need and I'm curious what other people forgot to get

Everyone I know swears by the rock n play. Can get any baby to sleep.

Rocking chair? Idk a bouncer?? A co-sleeper. Burp cloths and socks! I forgot to buy a whole bunch of socks !!

We were way over prepared.  I needed nipple cream, and breast pads... but a good 80% of what we did have went unused.  Bassinets, play gyms, clothes (they grow soooo fast! Do not buy too many newborn or 0-3!!!), etc... they were just so unnecessary.  Newborns especially are soooo simple, and as they grow they have their own likes/dislikes.  You might realize they hate the fancy swing and prefer a simple boppy pillow or vibrating chair...

I forgot to get newborn baby grows 🙈 we got plenty of 0-3 months as I thought they would be fine and that's what size new baby's would be in lol! But little did I know there was actually a "newborn" size. Stupid I know 😂 so hubby went for a mad dash to the shop the day after we got home from hospital to find some smaller ones... that's when I dicovered there was actually a newborn size 😂 least I have it all ready for baby number 2 now!  🙈

If anything I think a lot of people over buy. Like really the only thing we forgot was the thermometer. We had a bassinet we didn't use because she would puke when laid flat we ended up buying a rock and play. Someone gifted us a crib protector and all it did was make her too hot so we didn't use that (plus crib mattres is made of plastic like material so easy to just wipe off less laundry) We never used the changing table that was gifted to us. Sheets lots of sheets is a must (3-5 sets). Clothes of course she ended up in newborn for over a month so we had to buy more, I would just buy one or two newborn sleepers and if need more just buy more other wise most babies are fine in 0-3 months. Oh yea lots of sleepers you won't really put those fancy out fits in the baby, since it's close to summer I got sleepers and rompers (they are amazing for summer). We didn't really use as much lotion as I had planned she takes after her father and not I so we didn't need it really, get a bottle or so depending on your skin. At least two towels, LOTS of wash clothes.

I didn't forget but I feel that it could easily be forgotten.

Scratch mittens for the hospital and when you go home. Babes nails are sharp and they scratch their faces if you don't have little scratch mitten for them.
